Funding Options?
Prosthetic products and services are not covered under the New Brunswick Medicare Program. Costs for many of the prosthetic products and services offered by Canadian Board Certified Prosthetists, are re-imbursed by most private insurance companies through their extended health benefits packages, or other agencies including , i.e. Provincial government, Department of Veterans Affairs, War Amps of Canada, Workers Health and Safety Compensation Commission (WHSCC), Provincial Social Services Program, and philanthropic organizations such as local service clubs and church groups.
In order for a patient to receive benefits through insurance programs, patients will require a Physician’s prescription indicating the products or service required and a diagnosis.
