What if I need modifications made to my prosthesis?
Menzies is able to provide excellent patient care using our own on-site manufacturing facility. This allows us to not only fit ready-made or centrally-fabricated devices, but to custom-modify those devices, or custom-fabricate a wide range of prostheses at our facility to fit the specific needs of a particular client. If at a later date, modifications or adjustments need to be made, they can usually be done on-site providing the client with greater convenience and better service for their prosthetic needs.
If a client is covered under the Department of Social Development, First Canadian Health, DVA, or WHSCCB, then a prescription is sometimess required for ongoing maintenance of the prosthesis, although prior approval is usually required.
